Welcome to the visit of an off-grid, self-sufficient urban farm and greenhouse in Amsterdam South West.
This ecological community space, the Kaskantine was created by nomad farmer Menno Houtstra in the South West of Amsterdam, to gather neighbors around their food autonomy. While you listen to Menno's words and discover the 3D reproduction of the actual site, you will notice the furtive presence of hybrid beings embodying environmental activists' spirit.
The white creatures glowing in the woods and the stilt walkers are material artworks created by Valentine Hhevâh, they are a sculptural part of her imaginary, translated into virtual characters for this video. Instead of showing her pieces in a physical exhibition, she created a tailor-made world for these creatures in which they evolve. Powered by UE5 and made with megascan and sketchfab content, 3D modeling is the perfect tool to represent a fiction starting from reality: a docu-fiction. Everything is made possible and the fantastic can arise.
